Iwo Jima ir vienkārši super, imo perfekta filma, nemaz nerunājot par to kā kara filmu
tikko atcereejos - LOTI patika franchu filma Innocence (Lucile Hadzihalilovic, 2004) .
psihologiska, nedaudz mistiska un katraa zinjaa loti interesanta filma.

Even describing the story of this extraordinary film feels impossible. After all, it starts with a small child being brought in a coffin to a strange school. She climbs out to find herself in a kind of boarding school, populated by young girls between 5 and 11. There are two mysterious teachers, a strict timetable of ballet and a regime of autarchy, the elder girls looking after the younger ones. The idyllic woods in which they live are surrounded by high walls and no one seems to speak of, or even think about, what is outside. Each night the eldest girl disappears a few hours, walking along the network on dimly lit woodland paths to a secret place.
Because so little is explained, the film takers on a mancing air which grows as it progresses. All the worst possibilities fill your mind: is this some kind of prison, is there abuse or prostitution...? The Director manages to combine the beauty and innocence of the lives of the children with these questions lurking in the background. The answer, which comes at the end of the film, is going to create very different reactions in those watching.
I have to say I loved this film: a lot of movie posters claim that a film is dazzlingly original, this one truly is. I can't think of anything to compare it with and, judging by the packed out cinema, the glowing reviews are certainly drawing in people to watch it. It would be hard to desc ribe more without giving the plot away but I would certainly love to show it to a group of youth leaders and talk about it as a metaphor for the transition from youth to adolescence.
